MSA Fall Protection Kits

All the basic safety needs conveniently packaged in a handy 6 gallon bucket. The Bucket-O-Safety Kit is great for outfitting construction crews, and safe and dry storage of equipment for the work crew.

The Bucket-O-Safety Contains:

Two great products in one easy to order kit! These kits are available with your choice of a Cross Chest or Vest Style FP Pro Harness with or without hip D-rings, and with a single or twin leg Onyx Shock Absorbing Lanyard. All kits include carrying bag.

Includes:

• Thermatek Harness, standard size, made of a Kevlar/Nomex blend webbing that is resistant to chemicals, weld splatter, and other high heat exposures.
  
• Thermatek Shock Absorbing Lanyard features a burn resistant Tuffweld protective cover that is superior to Nomex. The Thermatek 12 lanyard model is designed to arrest a freefall up to 12’ and keep fall arrest forces below OSHA limits.
  
• Thermatek Anchorage Connector Strap with Kevlar webbing and stitching has replaceable wear pad to protect webbing from abrasion.
  
• Carrying Bag for convenience.
  
  

The Remote Connect/Disconnect system (RCD) may be used to secure an anchorage connector strap and install a fall arrest system to a qualified overhead anchorage point from ground level. Before the RCD system became available, it was often necessary to go aloft unprotected to anchor a personal fall arrest system. The RCD system enables the user to reach a distance of up to 20 feet to install and remove a personal fall arrest system. The RCD system consists of

• 15-foot telescoping pole with incremental adjustments
  
• Anchorage connector strap designed for use with the system
  
• Strap tool designed for easy installation and removal of the anchorage connector strap
  
• Connect/disconnect tool designed for connecting and disconnecting lifelines and lanyards
  
• Water resistant nylon tote bag for storage of the system
  

The RCD system is compatible for use with any MSA Lifeline that uses RL20 Snaphooks and the Dyna-Lock Backpacker SRL. Optional rescue tools may be purchased. With the connect tool (P/N 506589), a rescue line may be attached and lowered to the fallen worker’s chest or back D-ring. Once the rescue line is secure and tensioned, the Rescue Knife Tool (P/N 506591) may be attached to the pole and the activated fall arrest lanyard may be cut. This releases the weight of the fallen worker from the fall arrest lanyard and transfers it to the rescue line.
