DBI/SALA Specialty Harnesses

Specialty Harnesses
Specialty full body harnesses have extra features to add to your comfort and safety in unique situations. For example, if you are welding or in a potentially explosive environment, you want the protection of a Kevlar® harness. If you are working on a tower structure, you need special accessories to help reduce fatigue and give you a rest, along with D-rings to hold your tools and keep them out of your way.
DBI/SALA will work with you to find the right specialty combination for your application. We haven’t missed yet!
As an added defense against incendiary sparking while working in potentially explosive environments or near flammable materials, choose the protection that comes from fitting your DBI/SALA harnesses with non-conductive, non-sparking PVC coated hardware. When it comes to your safety, demand the best!

Why all the D-Ring Options?
D-rings serve different functions depending on their location. All D-rings serve as anchorage points for your connecting components. Some can also be sued to hold tools and accessories.
Front D-rings are used to attach your harness (and you) to a ladder climbing system or for work positioning, suspension and rescue. (CSA Group “L” or “D”)
Side D-rings are used for positioning or restraint such as with a rebar lanyard assembly or wall form hook assembly. They can also be used to hold a tool or two. (CSA Group “A”)
Back D-rings are used for fall protection or restraint. The will slide on impact, keeping you in an upright position and providing added safety and comfort. (CSA Group “A”)
Shoulder D-rings are attached to a Y-type lanyard with a spreader bar for rescue and retrieval operations in confined spaces. (CSA Group “A”)
